Publishing Process

PGJSRT follows a structured editorial workflow designed to protect scholarly quality, research integrity, editorial independence, and the reliability of the published record.

STAGE 1 — SUBMISSION

Authors submit manuscripts through the journal's Open Journal Systems platform together with the required metadata, declarations, and supporting files.

STAGE 2 — ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL SCREENING

The Editorial Office checks:

• Manuscript completeness
• Author information
• Formatting
• Required declarations
• Supporting files
• Compliance with submission requirements

Incomplete submissions may be returned to the authors before editorial assessment.

STAGE 3 — EDITORIAL SCREENING

An academic editor evaluates the manuscript for:

• Relevance to the Aims and Scope
• Scholarly quality
• Originality
• Clarity of contribution
• Methodological or analytical adequacy
• Research-integrity concerns
• Suitability for external peer review

A manuscript may be declined at this stage without external peer review.

STAGE 4 — RESEARCH-INTEGRITY SCREENING

Where appropriate, submissions may undergo:

• Similarity assessment
• Ethics approval verification
• Conflict-of-interest review
• Funding-disclosure review
• Authorship checks
• Image or data integrity checks
• Assessment of other potential research-integrity concerns

STAGE 5 — DOUBLE-ANONYMOUS PEER REVIEW

Manuscripts progressing to external review are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

Author identities are concealed from reviewers and reviewer identities are concealed from authors.

Reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest and maintain confidentiality.

STAGE 6 — EDITORIAL DECISION

Following peer review, an editorial decision may include:

• Accept
• Minor Revision
• Major Revision
• Resubmit for Review
• Reject

Reviewer recommendations inform but do not determine the editorial decision.

STAGE 7 — REVISION

Authors receiving a revision decision should submit:

1. A revised manuscript
2. A point-by-point response explaining how reviewer and editor comments were addressed

Substantial revisions may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by additional reviewers.

STAGE 8 — FINAL DECISION

The Editor-in-Chief or an appropriately delegated academic editor makes the final decision based on:

• The manuscript
• Reviewer reports
• Author revisions
• Research-integrity requirements
• Scholarly merit

STAGE 9 — PRODUCTION

Accepted manuscripts proceed through:

Copyediting → Layout/Typesetting → Metadata Verification → Author Proofreading → Final Quality Control

STAGE 10 — PUBLICATION

The Version of Record is published with:

• Final article metadata
• DOI
• Licence statement
• Volume and issue information
• Full-text file

Publication fees have no influence on editorial assessment, peer review, or the final editorial decision.
