Publishing Process

PUBLISHING PROCESS

PGJSRT follows a structured editorial and peer-review process designed to ensure academic quality, research integrity, fairness, and transparency.

1. Submission

Authors submit manuscripts through the official PGJSRT Open Journal Systems platform.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial office checks the submission for:

• completeness of metadata and files;
• conformity with the journal's Aims and Scope;
• basic scholarly quality;
• originality and textual overlap;
• ethical declarations;
• authorship information;
• conflicts of interest;
• research ethics requirements; and
• compliance with author guidelines.

Manuscripts that clearly fall outside the scope or do not meet minimum scholarly or ethical standards may be rejected without external peer review.

3. Editorial Assignment

A manuscript that passes initial screening is assigned to an appropriate editor with relevant subject expertise.

Editors must disclose conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where impartial handling cannot be ensured.

4. Double-Anonymous Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts are normally evaluated by at least two independent external reviewers with relevant expertise.

The identities of authors are concealed from reviewers, and reviewer identities are concealed from authors.

5. Editorial Decision

Following review, the handling editor evaluates the reports and makes or recommends one of the following decisions:

• Accept
• Minor Revision
• Major Revision
• Reject

When reviewer recommendations conflict substantially, the editor may seek an additional independent review.

The final editorial decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriately delegated editor.

6. Revision

Authors invited to revise must respond to all reviewer and editorial comments and submit a detailed point-by-point response.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated editorially depending on the nature of the revisions.

7. Acceptance and Production

After final acceptance, manuscripts proceed through:

• metadata verification;
• copyediting;
• reference and DOI checking;
• layout and typesetting;
• author proofreading; and
• final production quality control.

8. Publication

The final Version of Record is published online with complete article metadata, DOI, copyright and licensing information, and bibliographic details.

9. Post-Publication

PGJSRT maintains the scholarly record after publication. Legitimate errors or integrity concerns may be addressed through corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, or other appropriate notices in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics Policy.
