Archiving and Digital Preservation

The Polaris Global Journal of Scholarly Research and Trends (PGJSRT) recognizes that maintaining long-term access to the scholarly record is an essential publishing responsibility.

INTERNAL PRESERVATION

The publisher maintains backups of the journal's publishing infrastructure, including where applicable:

• Open Journal Systems database
• Article files
• Supplementary files
• Article metadata
• Journal configuration
• Publishing records

These backups support recovery following technical failure, accidental data loss, or other service disruption.

PERSISTENT IDENTIFIERS

Published PGJSRT articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), where applicable, to support durable identification, citation, linking, and metadata maintenance.

INDEPENDENT PRESERVATION

PGJSRT seeks to maintain or establish independent long-term digital preservation arrangements to support continued access if:

• The primary website becomes temporarily unavailable
• Technical infrastructure fails
• The journal changes hosting arrangements
• Publication ceases

TRANSPARENCY

PGJSRT will identify a preservation service as an active preservation partner only where the journal's participation and content deposit can be verified.

The technical availability of a preservation feature within Open Journal Systems does not by itself constitute evidence that PGJSRT content is actively preserved by that service.

PUBLISHED RECORD

Archived content should preserve:

• Version of Record
• Article metadata
• DOI information
• Licensing information
• Corrections
• Retractions
• Expressions of Concern
• Other important post-publication notices

PGJSRT is committed to maintaining the accessibility and integrity of its scholarly record for the long term.
