Complaints and Appeals

COMPLAINTS AND APPEALS

PGJSRT welcomes legitimate concerns regarding editorial procedure, peer review, publication ethics, journal policies, or published content.

EDITORIAL APPEALS

Authors may appeal a rejection or other editorial decision when they believe that a significant factual misunderstanding, procedural error, or demonstrable error in the assessment materially affected the decision.

An appeal should:

• identify the manuscript;
• clearly state the decision being appealed;
• explain the specific factual or procedural grounds; and
• provide relevant supporting evidence.

An appeal is not a new round of peer review and should not merely repeat arguments already considered during review.

Where reasonably possible, an appeal will be considered by an editor who was not responsible for the original decision.

COMPLAINTS

Complaints about journal conduct, staff, editors, reviewers, policies, or published material should be submitted to the Editorial Office with sufficient information to permit assessment.

Complaints involving the Editor-in-Chief may be referred to an appropriate independent representative of the publisher or another qualified senior editor.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND FAIRNESS

PGJSRT will handle complaints and appeals fairly, respectfully, and as confidentially as reasonably possible.

Submission of a complaint or appeal will not result in retaliation against an author, reviewer, reader, or other complainant.

The journal may seek additional information from relevant individuals or institutions before reaching a conclusion.
